Terms of sale

These terms apply when you buy from Map Versus at maps.botzone.ai. Please read them before you order. If anything here is unclear, email maps@botzone.ai.

Who you are buying from

Botzone Limited, trading as Map Versus. Registered in Ireland, company number 814822. Registered office: 4 Ardmore Green, Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin, A96 KV9K. VAT number IE4736228AH. Email: maps@botzone.ai.

What we sell

All prices are in euro and include VAT. Prices for posters and framed prints include delivery to Ireland, the UK, the EU, the US, Canada and Australia. We do not deliver anywhere else yet.

Your surname map is made for you

We draw each surname map from the National Archives of Ireland's 1911 census search, using the surname you type at checkout, exactly as you type it. Please check the spelling: we print what you give us. The counts are the archive's own, including any transcription mistakes in its records. That is how the data is, not a fault in your map.

If the 1911 census has very few people of your name, the map will be mostly empty. When that happens we email you before anything is printed, and you can choose a different spelling or a full refund.

Ordering and paying

You pay at checkout through Stripe, our payment provider. We accept the cards Stripe shows you. Our contract with you starts when we email you an order confirmation. If we cannot fulfil your order, we will tell you and refund you in full.

Delivery

See our delivery page. We deliver within 30 days of your order at the latest, and usually much sooner. The goods are your responsibility from the time they are delivered to you.

Cancelling and returns

See returns and refunds for the full details. In short:

• Surname maps (poster or framed) are made to your specification, so you cannot cancel them for a change of mind once ordered.
• "Ireland, 1841 against today" posters and framed prints can be cancelled within 14 days of delivery for any reason.
• Digital downloads: you agree at checkout that the download starts straight away, and that you lose the 14 day cancellation right once it does.
• Gift vouchers can be cancelled within 14 days of purchase if they have not been used.
• Anything faulty or damaged is always replaced or refunded.

Gift vouchers

A gift voucher is sent by email as a code. It can be used for one surname map poster, including delivery, and is valid for 5 years from the date you buy it. It cannot be exchanged for cash.

Digital downloads

We email you a link to your files. The link works for 7 days; if it expires, email us and we will send a new one. The files are for your own personal use: you can print them as often as you like for yourself, but you cannot sell them or the prints.

Your legal rights

Nothing in these terms takes away your rights under Irish and EU consumer law, or the law of the country you live in. If something you buy is faulty or not as described, you are entitled to a repair, replacement, price reduction or refund.

Our responsibility to you

We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to take reasonable care. We are not responsible for business losses, as our products are for personal use.

Complaints and the law

If something goes wrong, email maps@botzone.ai and we will reply within 5 working days. These terms are governed by Irish law. If you live in another country, you keep the protection of the laws of that country, and you can bring a claim in your own courts. In Ireland, the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (ccpc.ie) can tell you about your rights.
